Not every climb is a success.
Sometimes you just run out of time.
Thor Peak seems to have become my White Whale. I’ve made several attempts at climbing it, and they have all, for one reason or another, failed. This particular attempt was stymied by one wrong turn, sending us to the wrong saddle, and by the short winter day, which didn’t give us time to safely recover and find the proper route to the summit. On a somewhat strange twist though, we actually ended up climbing higher in altitude on it’s parent ridge than the actual summit of Thor. And we still grabbed some great photos!
